Officers responded on a theft at the above address. Responding officers located Jason Winkler (06-04-79) and a female companion. Winkler was booked into jail for felony theft. The female was not arrested.

Police responded to man bitten by a dog. The victim was previously in an argument with Aaron Thomas (7/27/88). Aaron claimed that the victim had tried to run him over in a motorized wheelchair and that is when his dog bit the victim. Officers located Aaron at a downtown hotel. He was arrested and booked into jail for aggravated assault.

The Victim who is a cab driver picked up a fare in the area of 200 N. 800 W. Two males got in and asked the cab driver to drive to 1955 W. North Temple. As the cab pulled into the parking lot the driver was struck in the back of the head with a blunt object. The suspects continued to strike the driver until the he jumped from the cab and got away. The suspects tried to run him down with the cab. The suspects were last seen driving south on Redwood Rd. the cab was recovered this morning at 500 North 800 West. The cab driver had lacerations to the head and was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. The first suspect is described as a white male adult, approximately 35 years old, 6’ tall, stocky build. The second is described as a white male, also about 35 years old, approximately 5’6” tall, slim build.
