A woman called police after she received a message from her friend stating she was being held against her will by her boyfriend. Officers responded to the home of Jared Barton (5/2/63). The 33-year-old girlfriend had visible injuries that were treated on scene. Barton was booked into jail for domestic assault and unlawful detention.
490 N. Redwood Road
A 17-year-old male and a 21-year-old male were walking to the 7-Eleven when a newer tan pickup truck approached them. An occupant of the truck shouted something indiscernible and several rounds were fired at the men. The 17-year-old male was struck once in the abdomen. He was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
2242 S. Wellington Street
Austin Pearce (5/25/87) assaulted his 38-year-old girlfriend and her 17-year-old daughter. Pearce prevented his girlfriend from accessing her phone to call for police assistance. He detained her in a bedroom and broke property at the residence. Pearce punched an officer in the face as he was being taken into custody. The officer did not require medical attention. Pearce was booked into jail for domestic assault, unlawful detention, interruption of a telecommunication device and assault on a police officer.
Traffic Stop / Fleeing
1120 S. Montgomery Street
An officer attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Pupunga Pututau (9/13/92) for a traffic violation. The vehicle fled from the officer, who did not pursue, and crashed into a fence at 1120 S. Montgomery Street. Pututau fled on foot, but was located a short time later at his residence. Pututau was booked into jail on charges of fleeing from an officer, speeding, reckless driving and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.
