At the Gateway mall someone was observed at the cologne counter. As he exited the business the theft alarm sounded. As an employee approached him the suspect pulled out a knife, threatening the employee and then ran westbound on 100 S. He is described as a male black adult, 140 lbs., tan cargo pants, red shirt and an oval shaped tattoo on his right forearm.
400 S. Emery Street
An officer observed a blue Honda Civic speeding in the area of 500 S. Emery. The officer immediately activated his emergency equipment in an attempt to stop the vehicle as it fled north on Emery. The vehicle ran a stop sign at 400 South Emery and collided with the front end of a westbound truck. The truck was occupied by a male driver and his wife. The Honda then spun around and came to rest as it struck a parked truck. The three occupants of the suspect vehicle then fled on foot along the Jordan River trail. K-9 responded and tracked the suspects for a short time without success. Both occupants of the truck were transported with minor injuries.
910 South 300 West
An alert citizen reported they saw a white Toyota SUV back into the Big O Tire store, breaking a window. Someone from the vehicle then entered the store through the window and exited with two tires. The vehicle then left southbound on 300 W. Possibly as many as three suspects were involved. The same vehicle was possibly involved in an earlier theft at a different business. Investigation determined the vehicle involved was stolen.
1940 S. 800 E.
Officers responded to a loud party. As they arrived several persons tried to leave the area. The officers observed marijuana and drug paraphernalia in plain view. A search warrant was secured. Marijuana, paraphernalia and distribution materials (scales and baggies) were seized. Robin Rudolph (11/1/92), Kolton Palmer (7/9/92), and Gage Christensen (9/26/92), were booked on drug and other charges.
