A 52-year-old man saw a female being assaulted by a male. He attempted to intervene, when Justin Craft (1/11/80) exited a car and pointed a gun at the man. The man backed away and the other male forced the female into the car and fled. A responding officer located the suspect vehicle and stopped it; however, Craft and another male ran from the car. After a short foot pursuit Craft was taken into custody. The female was not in the car, but her identity, as well as the other male suspect’s identity is known to police. Efforts were made to locate the female, but she was not found. A pellet gun was recovered from the vehicle, and Craft was booked into jail on several charges that included aggravated assault and failure to stop for an officer.
