July 25, 2012 — The Salt Lake City Police Department seeks the public’s help to identify and locate a suspect in the robbery July 12, 2012, robbery of Sam’s Club, 1905 S. 300 W., Salt Lake City.

At approximately 8:10 p.m. that night, a man entered the business, walked directly to the fine jewelry counter and proceeded to smash the glass case containing diamond engagement rings with a small sledgehammer. The suspect gathered several rings, intimated he had a gun, and then fled the store.

Suspect description:

• male white adult
• early 20s
• wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt under a white or gray t-shirt
• light-colored shorts
• dark shoes
• red beanie
• backpack
