An 8-year-old female student was in the crosswalk with the crossing guard. An eastbound Subaru failed to stop and stuck the girl. The vehicle was moving slowly and the child was struck by the side of the car. The child sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

A Salt Lake City Police K9 team assisted another police agency with taking Steven Trujillo (11/6/78) into custody. Trujillo was physically resisting and was bit on the leg during his arrest.
