1950 Auto Pedestrian Accident
1201 W. 1700 S.
A 5-year-old girl was crossing 1700 South from south to north with her mother. The victim suddenly ran away from her mother across travel lanes and in front of a vehicle, which struck her. Although transported to a local hospital in serious condition, the girl was talking to paramedics at the scene and is expected to recover. There is no evidence the accident was any fault of the driver, but the investigation is continuing.
1285 N. Redwood
Ismael Soto (7/14/93) produced a knife and demanded the personal property of a 23-year-old man. The victim ran away and called police. Officers arrived, located Soto and took him into custody without incident. Officers booked Ismael Soto (7/14/93) into jail for aggravated robbery.
