1641 Auto / Bicycle Accident
900 S. 700 E.
A man was riding his bicycle when he crossed 700 East against a red light and was struck by a northbound vehicle. Although he sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, the bicyclist is expected to survive. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
2004 Shoplift / Assault / Taser Deployment
1110 S. 300 W.
An officer responded to a call of a theft in progress. The officer approached the suspect, who took off running through the parking lot. The officer caught up with the suspect and attempted to place the suspect under arrest. The suspect began to resist and assaulted the officer. The officer eventually had to use a Taser to gain control of the suspect. Marlo Ceron (6/19/1974) was booked into jail for resisting arrest, assault on a police officer and shoplifting.
2212 Hours Accidental fall
141 E. 200 S.
A 41-year-old woman was sitting on the railing of a parking structure and apparently fell off the edge, landing on the sidewalk. The victim was transported to a local area hospital in serious but stable condition. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
