Recovered Stolen Vehicle

An officer responded to a call of a stolen vehicle. The officer located the vehicle and attempted to take the driver into custody. The suspect failed to comply with the officer’s orders but was eventually taken into custody after the officer deployed a Taser. Victor Padilla-Garza (1/29/95) was booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., a man walked into the Zions Bank branch at 701 E. 400 S. and demanded money from a teller. Suspect is described as male, possibly Hispanic, 5 feet 6 inches tall, very thin, “very weathered looking face,” according to a witness, wearing a light-blue sweatshirt, light-blue jeans, knit hat with brim (darker color). Last seen leaving northbound through Residence Inn parking lot.

A 62-year-old man was riding a bicycle along 400 South. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

Bank Robbery
1635 S. Redwood Rd.

A man walked into the Zions Bank branch and demanded money from a teller. The suspect was described as a male white adult, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slim build, approx. 180 pounds, in his 20s, with a tattoo on the right side of his neck, wearing a white and purple flannel shirt, light-blue jeans, and black knit beanie.
