8:39 a.m. Kidnap-Aggravated Assault 1500 S. Clayton

A 24-year-old woman reported that she was assaulted and kidnapped by her boyfriend. He held her against her will all night while driving her car around town. The suspect dropped her off this morning and she called police. The victim is being treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. Antonio Shropshire (3/30/82) is wanted for a probation violation warrant and pending charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping, and vehicle theft.
Officers observed a suspicious occupied car in an alleyway. As they approached the vehicle, all of the occupants fled. A K9 unit deployed and “Junior” tracked the occupants to a nearby shed. Six juveniles were taken into custody for possession of a stolen vehicle and fleeing.
