Aggravated Assault/Domestic Violence/Fleeing on Foot
247 East Garfield Avenue

Matt Scoville 7/24/1977, was in his home with his wife and brother-in-law.  Scoville was threatening his wife with a crowbar and damaging property in the home.  Scoville then pointed a pellet gun that resembles a real handgun at the brother in law and pulled the trigger but it did not fire.  The subject then left the scene and was located by officers at the intersection of 2100 South 500 East.  The subject fled on foot from those officers and was captured a short distance away.  The subject was transported to jail and booked on multiple charges including Aggravated Assault, Criminal Mischief, and Fleeing from Officers.

300 East 1300 South

An officer spotted a stolen vehicle traveling in the area of 200 East, and 900 South, it was a blue Dodge Caravan listed as stolen two hours previously. The officer executed a felony stop at the listed address. Pamela Westphal 11/29/64, was taken to jail for stolen vehicle, driving on a suspended license and outstanding warrants.

Traffic Stop/Stolen Vehicle/Fight
50 West 500 South

A sergeant conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle heading the wrong way on 500 South. During the stop information was relayed over the radio that the vehicle was stolen. The driver, Rachel Sandoval 6/13/95, hears this and attempts to leave the scene. The sergeant opens the car door and tries to remove Sandoval from the vehicle. Sandoval yells out that her passenger has a gun, trying to scare the sergeant into letting go of her. Sandoval actively fights and tries to get away. Other officers arrive on scene and take the involved parties into custody without further incident.  The passenger never had a gun and had complied throughout the stop; he was released at the scene.  Sandoval was taken to jail for stolen vehicle, resisting, false information, driving the wrong way and outstanding warrants.
