910 W. 2100 S. (Zions Bank)
A couple attempted to pass a forged check. Officers found numerous Id’s and checks on their person belonging to other people and the motorcycle they were riding was stolen. Kimberlee Rae Johnston (10/10/74) and Michael Lee Viphongsay (4/1/93) were booked on possession of stolen vehicle/property and forgery charges.
900 W. North Temple
An officer stopped someone on the street who had turned out to have methamphetamine on their person. Heather Giles (3/12/73) was booked for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
1794 W. 1840 N.
A 6-year-old boy had been missing a few hours. Several officers and K-9 Units responded. The boy arrived back at home on his bicycle some 90 minutes after officers were mobilized. He had been playing at a friend’s house and lost track of time.
759 S. Jeremy St.
Officers arrived and found two men fighting in the street. One of the men and several witnesses fled from the officers. The other man was bleeding profusely from his side. Witnesses said the two men had been fighting because of a woman. Officers found Emilio Johnson (8/23/90) nearby and booked him for aggravated assault with a knife.
