Someone smashed a window and broke into the Sizzler Restaurant. A witness called police who arrived and confronted the suspect inside the building. The suspect fled but was apprehended shortly thereafter. Joseph Andrews (4/28/85) was booked for burglary.

A couple was walking along the street when approached by a man who said “Give me your cash or I’ll shoot you.” The male victim showed the suspect that he only had credit cards.  The suspect apologized and walked away.  No gun was seen. The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s, blond hair, wearing a black mechanic’s type button-up shirt with a white sewn-on name tag with red lettering.

Aggravated assault
210 S Rio Grande St.

Officers were dispatched to the family shelter on reports of a man threatening people with a screwdriver.  While investigating, officers saw a man with a knife following and threatening another man. Officers took him into custody. Kuot Ayat (1/1/85) was booked for aggravated assault and other charges.
