Shots Fired
1004 W. 500 N.

A witness reported that she observed a white PT Cruiser with black rims driving south on 1000 West when she heard 3 to 5 shots.  The vehicle sped away southbound.  When officers arrived, two 9mm shell casings were located in the street and one bullet hole was found in the home.  No one was injured.  Investigation is ongoing.

Stolen Vehicle Arrest
720 S. 800 W.

An Officer was performing a property check when she located an occupied stolen Honda in an alley between Jeremy St. and 700 W.  Upon seeing her pull up, Ramon Gutierrez; (1-26-83), exited the vehicle and fled westbound through neighborhoods on foot. The officer was able to detain Angela Gallegos; (2-2-75) and give a description and direction of flight.  Another officer was in the area and spotted the suspect flee across 900 W. and into the block between Post St. and 1000 W.  Containment was set up and K9 responded. Gutierrez was located and was taken into custody without incident.  Gutierrez transported to jail and booked on charges as well as outstanding warrants.
