Foot Pursuit/involuntary commitment
1546 S. Jordan River Parkway
Officers responded to a report of a male threatening two female victims on the Jordan River Parkway. When officers arrived the suspect fled into the Jordan River where he stayed and refused to surrender. After officers, family members, and SLCFD Swift Water Rescue dialoged with the male for almost two hours, he was pulled from the water. The male was transported to the hospital for his exposure to the water and mental illness.
