1721 W. Indiana Ave
A passerby reported that a bloody male, Zakariye Akubar 1-1-89, was staggering around in the street, claiming his car was stolen and he had possibly been stabbed. Once on scene officers discovered a plate glass window had been broken out of a nearby business. There was blood inside the building and Akubar’s shoe prints on the broken glass inside. Evidence suggested that Akubar broke the window and as he entered a piece of plate glass fell on his back and caused a deep laceration. Apparently his friends left in his car when the business alarm went off. Akubar was transported to the hospital. Due to the need for surgery to repair his back, burglary charges will be screened.
