SALT LAKE CITY —The parents and family of 18-year-old homicide victim Gustavo Jarquin made a public plea for information in their son’s case during a press conference Wednesday, October 1, at the Public Safety Building. They asked the community for help in finding the person(s) involved in the September 18, 2014, death of their son in the area of Indiana and Pueblo streets. Working closely with investigators since the start of this case, the family encourages the community to come forward and share any information. Friends and acquaintances who knew or encountered Gustavo are also encouraged to come forward and help police piece together what happened. A cash reward is available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in this case. Dollar amount dependent on nature of information and role it may play in the investigation and prosecution.
