Bail Set at $1M for Jeffery Allen Skog

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department has made an arrest in the July homicide of Holly Carges, 34.

Homicide Investigators secured a warrant at 2:08 p.m. this afternoon for the arrest of Jeffery Allen Skog (2/23/79). Metro Support Bureau officers arrested him within the hour near 250 W. 500 S.

Officers booked Skog into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on the following charges:

• Murder, first degree felony
• Aggravated kidnapping, first degree felony
• Aggravated burglary, first degree felony
• Aggravated robbery, first degree felony

The arrest warrant notes bail in the amount of $1,000,007.

Officers found Carges’ body after responding to a call from hotel management at the Royal Garden Inn the morning of July 17, 2014.
