Stolen Vehicle / Fleeing (on foot)
161 W. 600 S.
Officers observed a stolen vehicle at 600 S. West Temple St. The vehicle quickly turned into a parking lot on the east side of the Red Lion Hotel. A passenger fled on foot and Officers were able to detain the driver, Paul Mathews (12/9/79) and take him into custody without incident. The male that fled on foot ran into the Red Lion Hotel and was located on the ninth floor by Officers a short time later. The second suspect was identified as Ryan Matthews (2/28/85). Several stolen items were located in the car. Paul was booked for possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of stolen property. Ryan was booked for Failure to Stop (Class A) and possession of stolen property.
