As Wal-Mart store security detained Kimberly Winger (12/25/78) for shoplifting, she attempted to retrieve a stun gun from her purse. When security took the stun gun away from Winger, she threatened them with a knife and fled from the store. Officers arrived on scene and took Winger into custody as she was fleeing. They booked her into jail for aggravated robbery, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia charges.

A man with a handgun entered the convenience store at the above address and demanded cash. The clerk gave him money from the till, and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a male white adult, wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue faded jeans, gloves, with a blue bandana over his face.
511 W. 200 S.
The victim, who said he had been visiting family in the Gateway apartments, was approached by a person later identified as David Lavine (1/16/60). Lavine asked the victim if he wanted to buy drugs; the victim said he declined. The victim walked away and was getting in his vehicle when Lavine forced his way inside and onto the victim’s lap and attempted to take the victim’s cell phone. A struggle ensued between the victim and the suspect, who tried to drive the car away with the victim inside it. Officers in the area of 250 S. 500 W. observed the victim’s vehicle turn southbound on 500 W., without lights, stop in the traffic lane, then accelerate and stop again. With officers approaching, the victim and suspect exited the vehicle. Lavine grabbed the vehicle’s keys and tried to flee, but officers quickly apprehended him. They booked him for robbery, interruption of a communication device, criminal mischief, and possession of paraphernalia.
