441 S. 400 W.
The victim stated that he was standing in a parking lot at the listed address when the suspect drove up to him, produced a handgun and fired one round. The victim was shot in the face. The suspect described as a male black adult driving a white vehicle with tinted windows. The suspect fled south on 400 West then westbound onto the freeway. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
1708 S. State Street
Joshua Holbrook (1/29/73) entered the Mowhawk Convenience Store, collected several items and attempted to leave the store without paying for them. The store clerk was assaulted by Holbrook as he fled the store. Officers were in the area and were able to locate and take Holbrook into custody without incident. Holbrook was booked into jail on one count of robbery.
874 E. 1300 S.
Suspect entered the Shell Convenience Store and gave the clerk a note with instructions to open the register and give him the money. The clerk opened the register but quickly placed the cash in the safe drop. The suspect picked up his note and left the store empty handed. The suspect was last seen on foot southbound 900 East. Suspect described as a male Hispanic adult, 25 years old, 5’4″, average build, wearing a navy blue winter coat with a hood and dark pants.
500 E. Kensington Ave
Officers responded on a suspicious vehicle at 500 E. Kensington. Upon arrival Officers discovered the vehicle, which was occupied by four people, was stolen out of Colorado. While dealing with the occupants of the car, officers smelled the odor of marijuana. A police dog was used and discovered a large amount of marijuana inside the car and under the hood. Thomas Porter (10/21/92) was arrested for Possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a stolen vehicle. Josh Studstill (1/21/92) was arrested for false info and possession of paraphernalia.
