A woman returned home and found a man unknown to her in her apartment. She exited the apartment immediately, went down the hall and called police. Arriving officers found the suspect still in the apartment and arrested him. He was found to have cash taken from the apartment on his person. Michael Dukes (6/18/86) was booked for burglary.

Robbery
311 W. 600 S.

A male adult entered the restaurant and asked for change. When the clerk opened the register the suspect insinuated he had a weapon and demanded money. The suspect grabbed money from the register and fled. He is described as a white male adult, 25-30 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches tall, medium build, reddish hair, unshaven, wearing a black beanie, black jacket, tan pants, and black shoes.

Metals theft
810 N. 2200 W.

It was reported that someone was trespassing and taking metal parts from a cell tower. The suspect saw arriving officers and tried to leave in his truck, getting the truck stuck in a ditch in the process. Exiting the truck and fleeing he was captured a few moments later. Shawn Laroque (11/9/77) was booked for criminal trespass, theft, and possession of methamphetamine.

Automobile/pedestrian fatal traffic accident
700 N. 900 W.

A female pedestrian was crossing 900 West at Signora Dr. from west to east. She was in the crosswalk and moving slowly, using a walker. A 30-year-old female was driving northbound when her vehicle struck the pedestrian in the crosswalk. The victim was deceased at the scene. Accident Investigators responded and assumed the investigation.
