Aggravated Assault with a Vehicle
165 W Mead Ave

The 25 yr old female victim and her boyfriend, Anthony Robert Vigil, 29, got into a domestic argument inside their residence at 151 W. Mead Ave. The argument that was taking place inside soon spilled out into the street. Other family and friends to include victim’s brother had become involved. At some point Vigil got into his vehicle, accelerated rapidly toward 200 W, made an aggressive u-turn, and then accelerated back towards the group. Anthony proceeded to intentionally drive his vehicle into the group; striking the female victim and her brother. Vigil then fled and was located and arrested in South Salt Lake. The female victim sustained serious head trauma and critical internal injuries and was transported to the hospital. The victim’s brother received minor injuries. The victim’s condition has been upgraded as of this morning.  Vigil was booked into Jail for: Aggravated Assault DV (Felony 2), Aggravated Assault (Felony 3 X 2), and 3 counts of Domestic Violence in the presence of a Child (F3).
