Carjacking, Kidnap, Robbery
1625 S Foothill Drive
A man called in tonight saying that his wife was missing. His wife had gone to visit a daughter that lives on Foothill Drive. At approximately 1:45 a.m. we received information from Uintah County Sheriffs Office that Bureau of Indian Affairs Police stopped the wife’s car and found that she had been carjacked and kidnapped at gun point in Salt Lake City around 5 p.m. A juvenile was taken into custody during the stop. Because of the distance involved and the nature of the crime, the investigation is on-going. Information about this incident will be provided by the PIO from 3:30 to 4:00 in front of the Public Safety Building.
Drive by Shooting
171 E Kensington Ave
We received a report of multiple shots fired at this address. Upon arrival officers foundshell casings in the road in front of this house. The front porch was struck several times and a vehicle in the driveway was also struck by the gunfire. No injuries were reported the incident is under investigation.
Fatal Auto Pedestrian Accident
771 N Victory Rd
A man was traveling southbound on Victory Rd in his car when he struck an unknown object in the road. The man stopped and investigated then realized that it was a person that he struck. The person was dead upon impact. The driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The investigation into this incident is on-going. The deceased has been identified and notification of next of kin is pending.
