Officers responded to several reports of shots fired in the area of 200 West and Mead Avenue. Information was obtained that four suspects had left the area in a white Mazda. Officers later observed the vehicle fleeing the area at 1300 S West Temple Street. Two occupants fled from the vehicle near 1500 South and were located hiding in the neighborhood by patrol officers. The vehicle continued to flee from officers and eventually stopped near 1000 West as the driver and passenger attempted to flee on foot. Officers took them into custody without incident. Officers booked Veronica Lopez, 19, Anthony Martinez, 19, and Frank Deras, 18, into jail. One juvenile was booked into juvenile detention.

A man entered the store at the listed address, waited for customers to leave and then ran behind the counter. He threatened the teller with a weapon and took money from the till. The suspect then fled the store to the west. The suspect is described as a black male adult, in his 20’s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, average build, short dark hair, dark beard, wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts and white athletic shoes.

A woman was in her apartment when she heard an argument outside. She looked out and saw a Hispanic male arguing with someone on the street corner. A short time later she heard gunshots. Several bullets struck the building and went through her walls. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
