Two males got into an altercation near 200 South and Rio Grande Street. During the altercation one of the men was stabbed in the stomach. The suspect then attempted to flee the area with several bystanders in pursuit. The suspect then turned and stabbed one of the pursuers in the stomach. The suspect then fled in a black Impala. Officers located the suspect in his vehicle at 400 S. 1000 W. and took him into custody. Police booked Jovonie Cabrera, 24, into jail for two counts of aggravated assault. The two victims were transported to a hospital in serious condition.
