Aggravated burglary –stabbing

A 32-year-old female victim was sleeping when she was attacked by a male suspect who had made entry into her apartment. The victim was struck over the head several times, but fought back against the suspect who eventually stabbed her in the abdomen before fleeing. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was located and arrested a short time later in the area of 3000 S. Highland Drive. The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Minh Doan. He was booked into jail for aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, and torture of a companion animal.
