Fatal semi-bike collision
200 S. Redwood Road

A 25-year old man was riding his bike northbound on Redwood Road at the same time a semi- truck was also northbound and turning east onto the I-80 entry ramp. The semi was pulling two trailers and a witness stated the second trailer collided with the bicyclist. The victim, Anthony Johnson, was transported in critical condition and pronounced dead at the hospital. The semi had driven away, possibly unaware of the collision. There was little description of the semi and it has not yet been located.

Auto-Pedestrian traffic accident

A 71-year old man had just exited Walmart while pushing a shopping cart when he was struck by a vehicle that had just turned the corner. The man fell and struck his head on the pavement. The driver, Lindsy Floyd, 31, was booked for felony DUI.​
