8:46 p.m.
Drug arrest
Woodbine & Eccles Ave .

An officer observed a vehicle parked on private property with a male and female inside. The officer made contact and asked what the two were doing. As he did so he saw drugs and paraphernalia in plain view. The suspect driver refused commands, became combative, and a struggle began. The suspect was tazed and taken into custody. In the meantime the female had run off. Richard Robinson, 60, was booked on assault and drug charges.

12:22 a.m.
Hit & Run
1566 E. 1700 S.

A vehicle was eastbound along 1700 S. when it collided with a parked car. Witnesses stated the driver exited the car and fled on foot. Officers and a K9 unit converged on the area and tracker/sniffer dog “T-Bone” located the driver nearby, hiding under a porch. Jesse Reeley, 27, was booked for Hit & Run and other charges. The car he had been driving turned out to be stolen.

2:11 a.m.
House Fire/Agency assist
1109 S. 700 E.

Officers and the Fire Department responded to a house fire at this single family home. Radio traffic indicated a 3-year-old child still in the home. Upon arrival frantic parents stated the child was still inside. Officers and Fire Dept. personnel found and recovered the unconscious child from near the Christmas tree at the base of a window. Once outside the 3-year-old recovered and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
