1638 S. 900 E.
A man approached the Fresh Market service counter and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a male, possibly Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a dark jacket or hoodie, gloves, sunglasses and a bandana on his face.
1700 S 900 W
A 40-year old man was driving north through the intersection in a pickup truck when he was struck by a westbound truck. Although the northbound truck rolled, the driver was uninjured. The 25-year old male driver of the second truck sustained a laceration to the head and was transported to the hospital. Alcohol may have been a factor. Investigation ongoing.
1650 W. 800 N.
A resident saw a strange car parked in front of his house with two strangers inside. He asked what they were doing and they said they were looking for someone. As they drove away the passenger pointed a handgun at the resident who fled into the house. A moment later shots rang out. Responding officers found a car matching the description nearby, still occupied by the two suspects. The victim positively identified them and Christian Sorellano, 21, and Andrew Martinez, 26 were booked for aggravated assault.
