Call times listed are approximate and typically reflect the first call received by SLC911 (Dispatch) for a given case. Items contained herein are based on information available at the time of its release and should not be interpreted as an admission or finding of guilt. Arrest information may differ from formal charges filed by the prosecuting agency. To see a list of completed calls for service in the last 48 hours, visit slcpd.com/policecallsforservice.
600 S. West Temple
A 15-year-old male juvenile drove a car in the wrong direction on one-way 600 South in downtown Salt Lake City. He collided with an SUV legally driving north along West Temple. Both vehicles ended up on the lawn in front of a hotel on the northwest corner of the intersection. The juvenile exited the car and began walking away from the crash. An off-duty SLCPD officer had seen the crash, caught up to the juvenile and held him for arriving officers. Both drivers were transported to different hospitals with minor injury. The juvenile was processed for DUI. He was reportedly a runaway and the car he was driving was reported stolen just before the crash.
