775 East 400 South
A male came into the business at the above address. He appeared to be under the influence of drugs. He demanded money and displayed a black gun in his waist band. After receiving the money he left the store in an unknown direction. He is described as a male white adult, wearing a red hoodie, jeans with a “scabby, scruffy” face.
Theft of vehicle arrest
803 West Dalton Ave
The victim left his car running while he went into his house. When he came back outside he observed Juan Pablo Ramos-Villanueva 36, driving away with the vehicle. The victim jumped in his friend’s car and followed Juan to where he dumped Julio’s car in the area of 850 W 1300 S. Juan was not aware he was being followed. After leaving the stolen vehicle, Juan walked to the taco cart at 1300 S 900 W and bought tacos. Officers arrived and took Juan into custody. Juan was taken to jail for theft of a vehicle.
360 S. Concord
Two victim employees were working at the above address when two suspects entered the store and each produced a black handgun. Suspect #1 described only as a male wearing a grey hoodie, heavy set and possibly caucasian, told the victim to give him the money. Suspect #2 described only as a male, wearing a black hoodie, medium build, stood nearby. Both suspects were wearing white ski masks. Suspects left the area on foot heading Northbound.
Hit and Run
1444 West California Ave
A juvenile borrowed his cousin’s car for a run to McDonalds. While Westbound on California Ave, he was distracted by his cell phone and collided with multiple parked vehicles. He fled the vehicle on foot. Officers arrived in the area and searched the area. K9 followed a track to the home of the registered owner in the area 1200 W. Andrew Ave. Officers contacted the owner and learned that his cousin had been driving. The juvenile was cited for no driver’s license, hit and run, and negligent collision.
