Police were called to a threats-in-progress in the area of the listed address. Officers arrived and attempted to make contact with the suspect while he was sitting in his truck. The suspect fled the scene and was not pursued. Officers located the truck at 951 North Redwood Road and made contact with the suspect. As the suspect attempted to flee again an officer broke the driver’s side window of the truck and the suspect surrendered. Officers booked Joseph Hardy, 47, into jail for fleeing, possession of meth with intent to distribute, and resisting arrest.
Stolen vehicle pursuit

Officers obtained information that Darnell Crawford, 30, was wanted in a shooting and was at the listed location. The information given was that the suspect was driving a white Honda. Officers responded and saw a white Hyundai which came back as a stolen vehicle from a carjacking a day earlier. The Hyundai was occupied and the driver was identified as Crawford. When Officers attempted to make a traffic stop, Crawford fled in the vehicle. Officers pursued the vehicle but lost visual near Wall Street. A taxi driver at 1005 South State Street was complaining of someone refusing to pay. The fare was picked up in the area where the pursuit ended. Officers responded and located Darnell inside the vehicle. Officers booked Darnell Crawford into jail for possession of stolen vehicle and fleeing.
