Wanted Subject Arrest

Officers responded to the listed address to follow up on a robbery investigation. While the officers were at the front door the suspect fled out the back window. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect after a short foot chase. Kevin Ford, 54, was booked into jail for warrants, fleeing and possession of narcotics.
At approximately 11:40 p.m. SLCPD bike officers cleared a group of people from Pioneer Park for violating park curfew. Suspect, Tewelde B. Mekonen 41, was walking out of the park with the 39yr old male victim and a witness. For unknown reasons, Tewelde began stabbing the victim. Officers quickly arrested Tewelde who still had the knife on his person. The victim was transported to a local hospital condition with a large laceration to his left leg and puncture wound to his right torso, both non-life threatening injuries. Tewelde was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for Aggravated Assault.
