Assault on an officer
410 S. Main St.
An officer was driving in the area when a man started screaming at the officer and charged at the police car. The man continued to advance as the officer stopped and exited his vehicle. A backup officer arrived and as they attempted to take the man into custody he punched one of them in the face. The officers eventually got the man under control and into custody. Nicholas Duffy, 25, was booked for public intoxication and assault on a police officer.

Police were called to a fight where a man was assaulted. Officers responded and found the victim with a laceration to the head. Medical transported him to a local hospital. Witnesses gave suspect information leading officers to Leroy Grimes, 44, who was booked for aggravated assault.
