A taxi picked up a man in Herriman and dropped him off in Salt Lake City. The man refused to pay and tried to leave. As the taxi driver attempted to stop him the man drew a knife and threatened the taxi driver with it. The driver was able to disarm the suspect and hold him until officers arrived. Christopher Gonzales, 28, was booked for aggravated assault.
311 S. State St.
A 26-year-old female was walking across State Street and was hit by a car heading south. She was transported in serious but stable condition. Investigation ongoing.
