9:17 a.m.
1300 W. 900 S.

A man was approached by a female acquaintance who asked him for money. The man refused and the female cut him on his arm and fled the scene. The victim received stitches at the scene. The suspect was later located at 865 South Navajo Street where officers took her into custody. Officers booked Patricia Montoya, 26, into jail for aggravated assault.

6:20 p.m.
1370 W. 1000 N.

An officer was approached by a female in a vehicle reporting her boyfriend had been shot in the abdomen. The victim, a 19-year-old male, exited the passenger seat of the vehicle and spoke with officers. Medical transported the victim to a local hospital. The suspect is known to police and is currently being sought after.

11:14 p.m.

790 S. 900 W.

A male attended a concert where he became involved in a fist fight with several people. He left the club in his vehicle, made a westbound turn onto 800 South from 600 West, and was struck by another vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle threw a beer bottle at the victim vehicle, and then fired 2-3 rounds, striking the victim in the jaw. The victim drove to the dispatched address where bystanders called police. The victim was transported to a local hospital. The suspect vehicle is described as a 4 door Volkswagon GTI, with dark tinted windows and may have damage to the passenger side.

4:54 a.m.
Aggravated robbery
960 W. North Temple St.

A 68-year-old clerk was working at the store when a man and a woman put items on the counter. When the clerk told them they hadn’t given him enough money the male grabbed an object in the store and struck the clerk. The victim retrieved a metal bar and chased the suspects from the store. The suspects returned and fought with the clerk again, took items and money off the countertop and left west on North Temple. The male is described as a 25-30-year-old black adult, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 240 lbs., wearing a white tank top with a Nike logo on the front, a brown hat and black basketball shorts. The female is described as a white adult, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150 lbs., wearing a white tank top, white basketball shorts and a black baseball hat with a red brim.
