Two brothers were involved in a dispute. One of the brothers got on a motorcycle and fired a handgun at the other brother. The victim began wrestling with the suspect and was shot in the neck and back. The victim was transported to a local hospital. The suspect fled the scene but was later located by officers while he was hiding in the Jordan River. The suspect refused to comply with commands and was pulled out of the river by a police K-9. The suspect was treated for a dog bite at a local hospital. Officers booked Joseph Tafoya, 36, into jail for felony domestic violence, and discharging a firearm.
