Wanted Felon
200 N. 900 W.

Officers were checking the area for a wanted felon by the name of Charles Denner (46) Officers located Denner near 900 W. 200 N. and attempted to stop him but he fled on his bicycle. Two West Jordan Police K9 units responded to the scene and assisted in looking for Denner. Officers located Denner hiding at 822 W. 300 N. and took him into custody without incident. During the search a Pit Bull ran out near 850 W. Simondi Ave and was running towards the WJPD Officer and his K9. Officers deployed a Taser on the Pit Bull causing it to run back into its yard.

Officers responded to the area of a male running around and breaking windows and other items. They searched the trailer park and located the suspect, Jayson Milne (46) standing at the front door to trailer #14 with a knife in his hand holding it up in an assaultive nature. They challenge him to drop the knife and he complies. The officers remove the knive from the area where Milne is being taken into custody. As Officers are dealing with Milne a second suspect, Laura Gardiner Caro (44) runs out, grabs the knife and runs back into the trailer. Officers run into the trailer to take Caro into custody but were unable to locate the knife in the clutter inside. Milne was booked into jail for weapons, intoxication, vandalism, and Caro to jail for possession of a controlled substance and interfering.

An Officer was working a part time assignment at this address (Crystal Inn). He was advised by hotel staff that a suspicious male (later identified as Blaine J. Tracy, 50) had checked in and was in the building near the laundry area. The Officer made contact with Tracy and found him to have a warrant for his arrest. When advised of the warrant Tracy became combative and actively resisted the Officer’s efforts to effect the arrest. The Officer called for help and multiple units responded. Tracy was taken into custody and treated on scene for injuries sustained during the struggle. The Officer sustained minor injuries to his arm and was also exposed to blood from the suspect. Tracy was booked into jail for his warrant and multiple new charges.

Officers heard shots fired in the area and located shell casing in the street at the listed address. A female victim stated she was outside her apartment and observed the suspect vehicle, a dark Honda, go up and down the street approximately 3 times. Moments later one of the suspects in the Honda confronted the victim about the person “in red shorts” and one of the suspects pointed a handgun at her. The suspects got back into their vehicle and fired approximately 12 rounds as they fled North bound on 200 East. Suspect 1 (driver) described as a MH, heavy build, blue shirt, jeans. Suspect 2 (front passenger) described as MH, medium build and dark shirt. Suspect vehicle described as a black or dark Honda with tinted windows and a loud muffler.

Officers were dispatched to a shots fired call at the above address. While coming into the area, Officers were flagged down by several security guards who indicated the suspect Franco Torres (28) had fired several shots. Officers ordered the suspect to show his hands, and Torres began to become non-compliant. After refusing to obey several orders given him, Torres was subdued with an effective CED deployment. Assisting officers were able to locate one 9mm shell casing at the scene and a 9mm Glock handgun nearby. Torres was transported to jail on multiple charges.
