An officer was flagged down for a shots fired call. The witness stated he heard several shots then saw two heavy set individuals leave the area in a black Chrysler 300. At that time some shell casings were found but there was no damage to property or reports of injuries. Later in the night a male arrived at a hospital with a single gunshot wound to his leg. The male was not very cooperative with police and would not say how he was shot or any details about the event.

Shannon Simpkins 33, gave victim money in a drug transaction but did not receive the product or a refund. Simpkins took out a knife and chased the victim across the street, striking him twice with her knife. Officers in the area witnessed the end of the incident and ordered Simpkins to drop the knife. She complied and was arrested for aggravated assault. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
