Assault on police officer

A man was found inside a vehicle removing property. Officers arrived on scene and the suspect rushed them. Officers deployed a taser and the suspect was taken into custody. Officers booked Tiafaaofo Gatoloai, 22, into jail for disorderly conduct, public intoxication, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, theft and vehicle burglary.

Employees at the Sugarhouse Barbeque noticed a very large pressure cooker with the cord wrapped up near one of the pillars of the business on the east side. No employees placed it outside and they didn’t know who it belonged to. The HDU responded and disrupted the device. The pressure cooker did not contain any explosive charges.
