Man With a Knife- CED Deployment
1051 North Beck Street
Officers responded to a threats with a knife call. Upon arrival the suspect, Mark Scurlock (54) fled on foot. Officers were able to catch up to him and observed him to be armed with a machete and a large folding knife. Scurlock refused to drop the knives and after several minutes of negotiation a CED was deployed, with an effective result. Scurlock was taken to UMED and charges will be screened.
Follow-up to Bank Robbery
200 South Rio Grande Street
The suspect, David Torrano (26) flagged down officers and confessed to the US Bank robbery at 876 East 800 South that occurred yesterday. Detectives were called out and interviewed Torrano at the PSB. The suspect was booked into jail for robbery.
