Injury Accident- Stolen Vehicle
1921 South Main Street
Suspect, driver Dino Valente (50) and his passenger, Joshscott Torson (23) were traveling south on Main Street in a stolen silver Dodge Journey, when Valente lost control and collided with a utility pole, severing the pole. Valente was transported to the Hospital with minor injuries. Torston was treated on scene and released after he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine (charges to be screened). Valente was treated at the hospital and then arrested for traffic offenses, DUI and possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle owner was notified and the vehicle impounded.
1300 South State Street
Due to the accident above, traffic lights at 1300 South State Street were not working and dark. Two drivers were westbound on 1300 South and stopped for the malfunctioning traffic light. After stopping both proceeded into the intersection when a southbound vehicle struck them, causing one of the vehicle’s to roll over. All parties were treated on scene by fire for very minimal injuries.
1965 South, 200 East
Detectives were riding as a two man car while patrolling in the area of the Georgia Apartments, they ran the plate on a red Honda, B245LL, which came back as stolen. They initiated a high hazard stop on the vehicle at 1965 South 200 East and took the two occupants safely into custody with the assistance of Patrol Officers. The driver, Daniel Marquez (42) was booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle and the passenger, Tosha Crouse (32) was booked into jail for an outstanding felony warrant.
BB gun drive-by
200 S State St
Two victims were walking in the area of 200 S State St when a white passenger car drove past. There was male black adult in the back seat that shot at them with a BB gun. Neither one was injured. The victims stated that they have seen this vehicle in the area shooting at people with a BB gun on previous occasions. An ATL was put out for the suspect vehicle.
