Three male suspects stole items from the 7-11 and fled the store. When the clerk attempted to stop the suspects one turned and assaulted him. The clerk stated he had a gun and the suspects fled again with the victim giving chase. During the chase one of the suspects circled behind and attacked the clerk. All three then assaulted the clerk and took his handgun away from him. Responding officers located the three males at 1520 West Van Buren Avenue. All three were taken into custody and the stolen handgun was located. Police booked Fusi Kaufusi, 19, Duane Finau, 19, and Sositine Pututau, 18 into jail for robbery and theft of a firearm.

A man and woman were asleep when they heard their garage alarm go off. They went out to check and found a man inside their car in the garage. A fight ensued with the suspect and the two victims when the driver of the suspect car came to aid the first suspect. The driver said he had a gun and the victims backed away. The suspects fled in their mid-90’s Honda Accord 4 door, gold or silver in color. Both males were described as white male adults. One was heavily tattooed.
