Open Discussion on Multi-Racial Families with the SLCPD

SALT LAKE CITY — The SLCPD Community Advisory Board (CAB), along with SLCPD, is hosting a community discussion regarding multi-racial families. Members of the community who are raising children of color in Salt Lake City have expressed fears, concerns, and ideas regarding the safety and well-being of their children during interactions with the SLCPD.

The CAB wants to facilitate an open conversation with the SLCPD and our community regarding police procedures, training, the current racial climate we are living in, and how we can make changes to benefit our children and our city.

Come prepared to ask questions and share your experiences, ideas, concerns, and solutions.

Scheduled to attend is Chief Mike Brown, Mayor Jackie Biskupski, and additional members of the Salt Lake City Police Department.

We can make a difference. We will make a difference.

When:  Monday, November 07, 2016 from 5-7 p.m.
Where: SLC Downtown Library Room C

Sponsored by the SLCPD Community Advisory Board
