9:00 a.m.
Assault on Police Officer/Theft
100 S Jeremy St.

Citizens reported that Thomas Montano (47) had just stolen a small motorcycle. A Sergeant stopped Montano at 100 S Jeremy Street. Once informed that he was going to jail for felony theft, Montano became combative and kicked an officer. Montano was transported to jail and booked for felony theft, assault on a Police Officer, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a concealed weapon by a restricted person.

Shots Fired
820 N. Sir Michael Dr.

Residents at this location reported hearing several shots fired and a vehicle speeding away. Responding officers located several shell casings and four bullet holes in the garage door. No one was injured. No suspect was seen.

7:21 p.m.
Drug Possession
601 E. 1300 S.

Officers observed suspect, Daniel Keener (43) exiting his parked vehicle. Officers saw a small amount of Marijuana in Keener’s vehicle and detained him. The Officers also located in plain view a Tupperware container and multiple plastic baggies with Marijuana. Officers found the suspect had $14,277 on his person and 1.77 pounds of Marijuana in various containers and baggies and scales. The suspect was booked into Jail for POCS w/ Intent to Distribute F2.

11:09 p.m.
Aggravated Assault

218 E. Edith Ave.

The 31 year old victim approached suspect, Victor Gomez (38) because he was trespassing on his property. Gomez pulled out a large knife and lunged at the victim. The victim retreated and Gomez fled. Officers apprehended Gomez at 225 E Hampton Ave and Gomez went to jail for aggravated assault.  11:09 p.m.

3:09 a.m.
25 S. 700 E.

We received several calls of shots being fired. Officers located the 21 year old male victim in the upstairs hallway with wounds on his legs. The victim was not very cooperative with officers. The victim said he was selling something on KSL classifieds and met the suspects in the parking lot north of his apartment. After a disagreement of some kind the victim was shot in the leg. Suspects are described as two MHA and one MBA driving a gray Durango or ram truck. The victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
