Assault on police officer

A man was trespassed after making threats. When officers arrived the suspect punched an officer and a Taser was deployed. Officers took Willie Carroll, 40, into custody and booked him into jail for assault on a police officer, trespassing and warrants.
739 N. 1400 W.
Witnesses at Riverside Park heard a gunshot and then saw several teenagers scatter. Local hospitals were contacted and it was determined that a male juvenile came into one of them with gunshot wounds to both legs. Investigation ongoing.
