Disturbance/Assaults

There was a large gathering at the Riverbend Sports Complex for a music concert. Several fights broke out and officers intervened. Due to the chaos additional officers were called to the scene to assist. The venue was shut down due to dangerous conditions. No officers were injured.

DUI/Fleeing

Officers responded to assist SLC Fire on an occupied vehicle with a male slumped over in the driver’s seat. Upon waking the male the suspect attempted to flee in his vehicle and ran into the rear bumper of a police vehicle. Officers removed the driver from the vehicle and booked Aaron Rodriguez-Tlanipa, 32, into jail for DUI and fleeing.

Drive-by shooting

A man was inside his home when several shots were fired into it. The victim transported himself to a local hospital with minor injuries. Several shell casings were found at the scene. Investigation ongoing.
