A family member located their stolen vehicle and gave location updates to responding officers. When the vehicle was stopped the suspect rammed two police cars and then fled on foot. Containment was set up and a K-9 took the suspect to the ground. As the suspect was struggling with the K-9 officers deployed a taser and took him into custody. The suspect was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. Officers booked Valentine James Malaki, 24, into jail for possession of stolen vehicle, criminal mischief, fleeing on foot and possession of drug paraphernalia.
