6:33 a.m. Assault on a Police Officer 731 S. 300 E.
Officers made contact with a trespasser who initially attempted to run, but then turned and assaulted them. Officers were able to take the suspect into custody. Officers booked Joseph Bishop, 32, into jail for assault on a police officer, trespassing, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Officers were treated on scene for minor injuries.
